The Power of Relationship - Part 1

On that fateful day, I got up early in the morning and ensured that I carried out my morning duties. I was to travel to Kaduna State that same day from Ore(A Local Government in Ondo State).

I arranged my things and also checked the room meticulously to ensure that I didn't forget anything. Forgetting any important thing of mine at Ore would be very terrible because I was to embark on a long journey (about 11 hours through road). After arranging my things, I bade farewell to the NYSC Corp members I stayed with.

I met my friend at a particular junction and we entered a cab to the state's capital (Akure) because there was no direct vehicle that would take us to Kaduna State from Ore.

After about two hours drive, we arrived at the state's capital. All thanks to God. Immediately, we entered another cab that took us to the park where we got a bus to Kaduna State. We got there a few minutes to 11 am. We paid and waited for the bus to get filled up. We waited for more than an hour yet no the bus wasn't filled up. The Oga Driver wanted his bus to get filled up, he didn't care to wait till in the afternoon despite the insecurity in the nation.

1 pm was fast approaching yet this man refused to start the bus, he knew that we were going to spend many hours on the road while traveling yet he refused. I couldn't risk traveling at night because of the insecurity in the nation and the worse case was that we would eventually pass through the Abuja-Kaduna Road that night.

My friend and I eventually postponed our journey until the next day. To be Continued.
