The Power of Relationship - Part 2

The challenge was how and where could we spend the night in. We didn't know anyone or anywhere in Akure, we didn't have much cash on us to pass the night in a hotel, we couldn't even find any Hotel close to the park.

Still thinking of what to do, I made and received many calls to and from different people. I finally got the contact of an amazing woman in my church whose family house was in Akure.

Long story cut short, my friend and I eventually arrived at her family house and rested. After some hours, her mother came back home and we began introducing ourselves to make her understand who we were. This woman treated us like her children, we were offered delicious delicacies and given a comfortable room to pass the night.

The next day was a Sunday morning, a few minutes after 5 am, she drove my friend and me to a car park where she waited for us till we entered the bus.

Good Relationship with people is indeed a vital quality. I got thinking, what if I didn't have a good relationship with this dear woman in my church? what if I despised her? What if I never respected her? The answer is obvious.

Daily we come in contact with many people. We go to diverse events, places, and come in contact with people. At schools, in the market place, cinema, hubs, everywhere. We always see people. It doesn't matter how a person physically looks but one important thing is to build a good Relationship with people.

To make my point much clearer, I would tell you a story I read in the book of Kings.

Naaman, the commander of the Syrian army was a highly respected man. He was indeed a great and mighty soldier but he was a leper. In one of their raids against the Israelite, the Syrians took a little Israel girl who became a servant to Naaman's wife. It was this little servant girl through his wife that referred Naaman to Elisha who later gave him instructions on what to do to obtain his healing.

That person you despise that looks as though he/she is nothing to write home about might have the solution to your challenge.

Treating that person badly can cost you something valuable which could have been avoided if only you maintained a good Relationship with Him/Her.

Everybody is important and Everyone matters. People matter, it doesn't matter whether you need them or not. Just treat them right to maintain a good relationship with them.

As a wise man once said, "Big men are known by the way they treat little men". It is foolish to allow pride to make you despise anyone.

The Stone You Rejected Today Might End Up Becoming The Chief Cornerstone Tomorrow.

Maintain a Good Relationship With People Because People Matter.
